About Julie
Support created for sensitive and neurodivergent minds
Support grounded in lived experience of high sensitivity, not only training.
This is a space created to assist people to understand and value themselves, not to be ‘fixed’ - built around your pace, your patterns, your needs and what fits you.
Meet Julie,
I support people with mental health challenges in private practice, with a special interest in sensitive and neurodivergent adults who have been strongly impacted by messages about who they should be.
I work alongside clients as a team, drawing on evidence based therapies and developing tailored strategies for thinking patterns, nervous system regulation, emotion management and energy levels. Sessions are adapted to each person needs, so it’s not a fixed program.
Clients can come to me through a referral from their GP, find me through my online profiles or through this website.
If you are wondering whether this type of support could be a good fit, you are welcome to reach out.
Why I Do This Work
I am highly sensitive myself, and I have been impacted throughout my life by messages and experiences that come with that. Working through this in my own life is an ongoing process, and it has only deepened my passion for this work.
While supporting clients, I have seen similar patterns show up again and again - feeling different, not fitting in, being overwhelmed, and being hard on themselves for all of it. Increasing my own connection to my values, including valuing diversity and equality, has shaped how I show up for the people I work with.
For the people who come to me, this means working with someone who understands sensitivity and difference from the inside, not only from training. My hope, for my clients and for the world more broadly, is that differences are met with kindness and curiosity.
How I Support You
Here, your sessions are shaped around what you need.
Lived experience of sensitivity shapes every session, not only training.
Language that never pathologises, language that acknowledges human diversity, and seeks to understand people’s experiences.
A team-based therapeutic relationship, where your experience carries real weight in how therapy unfolds.
Sessions paced and structured around sensitive nervous systems, including environmental comfort and sharing information when you feel ready.
A specific focus on the Highly Sensitive Person and neurodivergent experiences. Services for Highly Sensitive People are not as widely available as services for general mental health support.
Diversity is natural and a valuable part of being a human.
You are not rushed here.
You are not judged here.
You are understood here.
This is not only therapy.
It can be the beginning of a more supportive relationship with yourself…

Let’s Begin with a Conversation
You do not have to work this out alone.
Reaching out does not commit you to anything beyond a conversation about what you need and whether this feels like a good fit.
