Therapy and Support Sessions Designed Around Your Nervous System
Every session is adapted to fit with your experiences and needs, so it’s not a fixed approach that is applied to everyone.
You are allowed to need support tailored especially for you, and to get it without having to explain why.
Every session begins with listening, and then goes deeper.
The result is support that changes shape as you do, rather than asking you to fit a fixed approach.
Sessions start with understanding your current challenges, any relevant history, and what you would like to work toward, at a pace that respects your nervous system.
From there, the direction of the work is shaped together. We explore thinking patterns, behaviours, nervous system regulation, emotional regulation and energy management, and build practices that genuinely fit your life, reviewing progress along the way.
Understanding current challenges and goals
Exploring thinking patterns and behaviours
Nervous system and emotion regulation practices
Energy and sensory management strategies
Regular reviews to check progress and adjust
When supporting clients, I draw on a range of evidence based therapies and approaches. Support provided can include working towards desired change, guidance with skill development and/or tailored practices that come from Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness based approaches. Always delivered through a strengths-based lens, with a compassion and a trauma-informed approach.
The Values Behind the Support I Offer
Lived experience
My own experience of sensitivity shapes a genuine level of understanding.
No pathologising language
You will only hear language that seeks to understand and make sense of your experience.
A team-based approach
Your lived experience carries as much weight in sessions as any training or framework.
Nervous system pacing
Environmental comfort and pacing of sessions are considered during every session.
People come here when they need support with their current experiences.
Feeling sensitive, overwhelmed or easily affected by your environment
Burnout, meltdown or shutdown from sustained overwhelm
Masking, or exhaustion from trying to fit in
A harsh inner critic and constant self-judgement
Relational or communication challenges, and feeling misunderstood
Difficulty managing energy levels and sensory input
General mental health challenges and support through change
If your experience is not listed here, it is important, and still welcome.

-
Sessions with a special focus on areas such as sensitivities, for example sensory input and criticism, strong emotions, overwhelm, burnout, masking, communication difficulties, relational difficulties, and navigating environments that are not a good fit.
-
This is my special interest, and the type of support I often find is required in sessions. The initial session focuses on understanding your current challenges and any symptoms, relevant historical experiences, and identifying your goals. Then in ongoing sessions, the aim is to work together to understand your unique needs and build tailored, supportive strategies and practices, including supporting your nervous system and energy levels, managing emotions, navigating sensory sensitivities, engaging in enjoyable activities, identifying strengths, exploring relational needs, and finding environments that are a good fit for you. Reviews check whether progress is being made, confirm we are on the right track, and identify any changes needed.

Sessions for the Inner Critic
-
Sessions with a special focus on the relationship you have with yourself, how you treat yourself internally, and developing a kinder inner world.
-
Also a special interest of mine. The aim is to notice your critical inner voice earlier over time, and to respond to it differently.
The initial session focuses on understanding your current inner conversations, relevant historical experiences, and identifying your goals. Then in ongoing sessions, the aim is to work together to understand the origins and motivations of your inner critic, coming up with tailored, supportive inner conversations and practices for patterns such as self-judgement, perfectionism, comparing yourself with others, and difficulty resting or exhaustion. Reviews check whether progress is being made, confirm we are on the right track, and identify any changes needed.
Any potential risks or concerns about the process are also explored as needed.
